Assistant State’s Attorney for Illinois in 1921 says that it is almost impossible to get men to convict a female murderer

Lloyd Heth, the Assistant State’s Attorney for Illinois in 1921 says that it is almost impossible to get men to convict a female murderer and he demands a female jury as a result.

“I will demand a woman jury in this case,” Mr. Heth said. “It is impossible to get conviction of affinity slayers by men juries. In the last ten years fourteen women who killed men have been freed. The only two convicted were a woman seventy-two years old and a negress."

Men were that reluctant to convict a woman of murder and almost always have been but we are supposed to believe all men were out to enslave women back then as well as today.
