The UN Declares the Privacy of the Home is the Enemy to Keeping Women Safe

In "Ending Violence Against Women: From Words to Action" Volume 795
By The United Nations Division for the Advancement of Women published in 2006 they singled out laws protecting the privacy of the home as one of the main thorns in their side for accomplishing their agenda and they applauded the fact that UN International Law had helped soften up those privacy laws more to their liking. They stated:

"Legal doctrines protecting the privacy of the home and family have
been widely used to justify the failure of the State and society to intervene
when violence is committed against women in the family and to
take remedial action.71

Deference to the privacy of the home, in both
law and practice, contributes not only to impunity for violence against
women at the hands of family members, but also to impunity for violence
against domestic workers. The development of international law
in the last 15 years has extended the State’s human rights obligations in
the family arena and States have adopted laws and policies in line with
these obligations"

The feminist movement is the velvet glove on the iron fist.
