In this amazing flashback you can see most of the prominent men in 1913, without hesitation, talking about how they would gladly give up their seats on trains and in most cases remove their hats in the presence of a woman even if she was a suffragists who demanded equality. This goes to show you how naive men have been in the age of supposedly unflinching female oppression when it came to letting women have their cake and eat it to. The underlying message in the article is that other men needed to tow the line and demonstrate how much of a real man they were by falling over each other to comfort women.
