The National Organization of Women Calls on Mothers to Stop Being Mothers and Wives For a Day For Attention In 1975

The National Organization of Women(the leading feminist protest group at the time) in 1975 called on all women in the nation to stop parenting their children, stop having sex with men, stop cooking and stop working "to show the nation how much they need women".

The telling thing is that these women were opposed by a counter-protest of women who made it their goal to go the extra-mile and show how much they appreciated being mothers and wives.
